2016 Holiday Social
We cordially invite you to join us for our annual get together
to celebrate the holiday season on Monday, December 12th, 7pm, at the Washington Street Community Center.
This year is a special year as we will honor our retiring Probate Judge, Henry A. Baker,
for his 40 years of faithful service to the people of Newton County and to the Democratic Party.
There will be a potluck dinner, so if you are planning on joining us and are able to, please bring a little something to share.
Dress code is strictly enforced – you must wear what you are comfortable in! We love seeing you all dressed up in your holiday finery, but we also love to see who can find the ugliest Christmas sweater to wear.
We’re more interested in you so come as you are!
Notice of County Committee & Officer Elections
On Monday, December 12th, at 6:30pm, elections will be held to fill any vacancies to the county committee. County Committee members make up the voting body of the county party and are responsible for conducting the actual business of the party. If you would like to be an elected county committee member, you must be a registered voter in Newton County and publicly affirm your belief in the ideals of the Democratic Party.
This meeting will end at approximately 6:45pm.
